It’s time for another fun Sunday Parkways event, this month in Southeast Portland. And Sunday looks to be a beautiful day for a bike ride on car-free streets! “Spend a warm summer day walking and rolling around Southeast Sunday Parkways. Take in the great city views from the top of Mt. Tabor! Activities, food, vendors, music, and fun will be in Laurelhurst, Colonel Summers, Ivon and Mt. Tabor Parks.” BIKEASAURUS will be set up at Laurelhurst Park, so come by for a spin of the prize wheel!

North Portland Sunday Parkways

This Sunday, July 28, enjoy a pleasant 9.5 mile loop for North Portland’s installment of Sunday Parkways. “Enjoy roses, activities, food, music, vendors, and fun at Peninsula, Arbor Lodge, Kenton, Columbia Annex, and McCoy Parks; plus the wide open car-free Willamette Boulevard.” The event runs from 11-4. BIKEASAURUS will be set up at Peninsula Park, selling fun accessories. Come say hi!

Bicycle Big Top at the Portland Art Museum

In correlation with the Cyclepedia exhibit, the Portland Art Museum is hosting a two-day event celebrating Portland’s distinctive alternative bicycle culture. The celebration of bike fun is happening Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21. The festivities will include: ramp and stunt demos, tall-bike jousting, a performance by the Sprockettes, and a display of Portland’s finest freak bikes.
